3 Ways to Become an Astrologer

Astrology is a fascinating discipline that seeks to understand and interpret the influence of the cosmic bodies on human lives and events. If you’re captivated by this ancient practice and aspire to become an astrologer yourself, here are three ways you can make that dream a reality.

1. Master the basics of astrology

The first step in becoming an astrologer is to gain a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of this art. Start by learning about the zodiac signs, planets, houses, and aspects. Knowing what each symbolizes and how they interact is crucial for your ability to read charts accurately.

Books, articles, and online resources abound for people who want to explore astrology. Some recommended titles include “The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need” by Joanna Martine Woolfolk, “Astrology for Yourself” by Demetra George, “Astrology, Karma & Transformation” by Stephen Arroyo, and “Parker’s Astrology” by Julia and Derek Parker.

2. Get hands-on experience with chart interpretation

Once you’ve grasped the basics, it’s time to practice what you’ve learned in real-world situations. Start with your birth chart or those of close friends and family members. Analyze these charts thoroughly, paying attention to every aspect and its possible effects on life events.

Join astrological forums or social media groups where you can engage with other aspiring astrologers. Share your interpretations and receive feedback from more experienced practitioners. Networking with your peers will improve your skills while also creating valuable connections within the astrological community.

3. Further your education through formal programs or mentorships

Although knowledge of astrology’s fundamentals is essential, ongoing education can help deepen your understanding of this complex field. Consider enrolling in an astrology course or attending workshops and conferences led by professional astrologers.

Alternatively, seek a mentor who is an established and respected astrologer. Becoming their student will grant access to years of expertise and guidance on your journey to becoming an accomplished astrologer. Some well-regarded astrology schools include the Astrological Association’s Mayo School of Astrology, Kepler College, and the Faculty of Astrological Studies.

In conclusion, becoming a skilled astrologer requires dedication to learning the basics, gaining hands-on experience, and expanding your knowledge through formal education or mentorship. As you delve deeper into the mysteries of the cosmos and apply what you’ve learned, you’ll find yourself growing as both a student and practitioner of this remarkable discipline.
