3 Ways to Apply Makeup in Middle School

Makeup can be fun, creative, and enhance one’s self-confidence. For middle school students, venturing into the world of makeup can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. Here are three age-appropriate ways to apply makeup for middle schoolers while making sure it stays subtle and enhances their natural beauty.

1. Keep it Simple with Tinted Lip Balm:

One way to start with makeup in middle school is by using a tinted lip balm. Tinted lip balms provide a sheer wash of color on the lips that looks natural and are easy to apply. They also hydrate your lips, making them soft and smooth without being too bold or noticeable. Look for shades that complement your skin tone; generally, light pinks, peaches, or berry hues work well for most people.

2. Enhance Your Lashes with Clear Mascara:

Mascara is an essential element of any makeup routine as it makes your eyes stand out. Teenagers may want to experiment with mascara but should keep their age in mind when choosing a product. Clear mascara is an excellent option for middle schoolers as it defines the lashes without adding excess volume or color. With a few swipes, clear mascara will enhance your natural lashes, giving a subtle lift to your eyes and maintaining a no-makeup look throughout the day.

3. Add Radiance with a Natural Blush:

A healthy flush on the cheeks can make anyone look fresh and radiant instantly. For middle school students who wish to use blush, opting for a natural color that resembles their actual blush is key. Cream blushes work exceptionally well as they are easy to blend and provide a dewy finish that looks seamlessly natural on the skin.

Opt for shades like soft peach or pink and apply a minimal amount of product using your fingertips on the apples of your cheeks—remember that less is more. Spread the blush outwards towards your temples, blending well to avoid any harsh lines.

In conclusion, when it comes to makeup in middle school, the key is a light touch and enhancing one’s natural features. With these three age-appropriate ways, middle schoolers can confidently begin their journey into the world of makeup while still maintaining a youthful and fresh appearance.
