Introduction:

Gone are the days when you used to store your friends’ and family members’ contact information on pieces of papers or in your diary. With advancements in technology, managing and organizing contacts has become more convenient than ever. If you’re an Android user, there are three simple methods to add a new contact in your device. In this article, we will be discussing these methods so that you never have trouble adding a new contact again.

1.Adding a Contact using the Contacts App:

The built-in Contacts app on your Android phone provides an easy way to manage all your contacts. To add a new contact using this method, follow the steps below:

1.Open the Contacts app on your Android device.

2.Tap on the plus (+) icon, usually located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

3.Fill out the required information, such as name, phone number, and email address.

4.You can also add more details by tapping on “More fields,” where you can include information like their address, birthday, and job title.

5.Once you’re done filling out the details, tap “Save” to store the new contact in your device.

2.Adding a Contact from Call Logs or Messaging:

You can also add a contact from your call logs or text messages if someone has called or texted you recently. Here’s how:

1.For Call Logs –Open the Phone app and go to “Recent” or “Call logs.” Find the number you want to save and tap on it. Then select “Create new contact” or “Add to existing contact.”

2.For Messaging –Open the Messages app and locate the conversation with the number you want to save. Tap on the chat and then tap on their phone number located at the top of the screen. Finally, choose “Add to Contacts” and fill out the necessary information.

3.Adding a Contact using Google Voice Search or Google Assistant:

You can use the power of voice commands to add a new contact on your Android device by employing Google Voice Search or Google Assistant. Follow these simple steps:

1.Long press the Home button to launch Google Assistant, or tap the microphone icon in the search bar to activate Google Voice Search.

2.Say “Add a new contact.” This command will prompt Google to open the Contacts app and create a new entry.

3.Provide the required information, such as their name and phone number, using your voice or by typing it manually.

4.Tap “Save” to store the newly added contact.

Conclusion:

Adding a new contact on your Android device is effortless thanks to these three methods. Choose the one that suits you best and say goodbye to losing contact details. With an organized contact list on your Android phone, staying connected with friends, family, and colleagues has never been easier.
