Introduction:

Angus steak is a popular cut of beef known for its tenderness and rich flavor. It’s no wonder that Angus steak is a favorite choice among meat lovers. To get the best out of your Angus steak, try these three tasty cooking methods: pan-searing, grilling, and broiling.

1. Pan-Searing:

Pan-searing is a quick way to cook Angus steak, locking in its natural juices and flavors while giving it a beautiful crust.

– Start by patting the steak dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

– Season it generously with salt and pepper or your favorite steak rub.

– Heat a heavy-duty skillet (preferably cast iron) on high heat until it smokes slightly.

– Add a tablespoon of oil and carefully place the steak in the hot pan.

– Allow the steak to sear for 2-3 minutes on one side, and then flip to sear for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.

– If desired, finish by adding butter, garlic, and fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to the pan, and basting the steak with the melted butter mixture for added flavor.

– Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

2. Grilling:

Grilling is a classic way to cook Angus steak, adding smoky flavors that enhance its natural taste.

– Preheat your grill to high heat.

– Lightly brush olive oil onto both sides of your steak and season with salt, pepper, or a spice rub of your choice.

– Place the steak directly onto the heated grill grates, cooking for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired level of doneness.

– To achieve perfect grill marks, rotate the steaks 45 degrees after about two minutes before flipping them over.

– Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing, allowing all the delicious juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

3. Broiling:

Broiling is a high-heat method that cooks Angus steak quickly, resulting in a crusty exterior while keeping the inside tender and juicy.

– Position your oven rack 4-6 inches below the broiler.

– Preheat your broiler on high.

– Season your Angus steak with salt and pepper, or use a marinade of your choice.

– Place the seasoned steak on a broiler-safe pan.

– Slide the pan under the broiler and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, depending on how thick your steak is and how well-done you like it.

– Keep an eye on the cooking process to prevent overcooking and flare-ups from any rendered fat.

– Remove the steak from under the broiler and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

By mastering these three cooking methods, you’ll ensure that your Angus steaks are mouth-wateringly delicious every time. Whether you prefer pan-searing, grilling, or broiling, each technique highlights the flavor and tenderness that makes Angus steak so sought-after. So go ahead – pick your favorite method and enjoy your perfectly cooked Angus steak!
