The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 is set to continue the electric revolution that Volkswagen has been spearheading in recent years. As one of the most popular electric SUVs in the market, the ID.4 is expected to receive minor updates for the 2025 model year, building upon the significant improvements made in the 2024 refresh.

Design and Interior

The exterior design of the 2025 ID.4 is likely to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor, maintaining its sleek and modern appearance. However, Volkswagen may introduce new color options and wheel designs to keep the lineup fresh. Inside, the ID.4 will continue to offer a spacious and tech-forward cabin, with high-quality materials and a minimalist design philosophy.

Technology and Features

One of the most notable additions to the 2025 ID.4 is the integration of ChatGPT, an AI-powered voice assistant. This feature, introduced in the 2024 model, allows for more natural language interactions and can assist with a wide range of queries beyond just vehicle functions. The infotainment system will continue to feature a large 12.9-inch touchscreen on upper trims, with improved processing power for smoother operation.

Performance and Range

The 2025 ID.4 is expected to carry over the powertrain options from the 2024 model. This includes:

  • A base rear-wheel-drive model with a 201-hp electric motor
  • A more powerful rear-wheel-drive variant with 282 hp
  • An all-wheel-drive version boasting 335 hp

Range estimates are likely to remain similar to the 2024 model, with up to 291 miles for rear-wheel-drive models equipped with the larger 82-kWh battery pack.

Pricing and Availability

While official pricing has not been announced, it’s reasonable to expect a slight increase over the 2024 model year. The 2025 ID.4 will likely start around $42,000 for the base model, with fully-loaded variants reaching up to $55,000. The vehicle is expected to hit dealerships in mid to late 2025.

Conclusion

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 looks to build on the success of its predecessors, offering a compelling blend of practicality, technology, and electric performance. With the addition of AI-powered features and continued refinement of its electric powertrain, the ID.4 remains a strong contender in the ever-growing electric SUV market.
