2025 Toyota GRMN Supra Spied, Possibly Hiding 473-HP M4 Engine

The 2025 Toyota GRMN Supra has been making headlines, and for good reason. Recently spied during testing, the eagerly anticipated sports car is rumored to boast an impressive 473-horsepower M4 engine under its hood. This new development promises to propel the Supra’s performance to new heights, further enhancing its reputation as a high-performance, track-ready machine.

Toyota’s long-running GRMN (Gazoo Racing Masters of Nürburgring) badge signifies the company’s commitment to producing performance-oriented models that are specially tuned for optimal results on the famed German racing circuit. With this latest incarnation of the iconic Supra, Toyota appears to be doubling down on its pursuit of motoring excellence.

The camouflaged prototypes spotted on and around the Nürburgring racetrack suggest that aesthetic upgrades are also in store for the forthcoming GRMN Supra. The test mules sported altered bumpers and side skirts as well as revised front and rear fascia designs. Large-diameter exhaust pipes located at the rear hinted at something truly special hiding beneath the car’s surface: a BMW-sourced S58 engine.

Why is this new engine such a big deal? Derived from BMW’s M division, this inline-six-cylinder engine promises a significant power boost compared to even the current top-tier Supra offering, which uses a detuned variant generating 382 horsepower. With a 473-hp engine in place, Toyota aficionados can expect exhilarating acceleration and unrivaled performance when gripping their steering wheel on windy roads or tracks.

One question remains: will this potent powertrain be paired with a manual transmission? While purists are holding out hope for such a combination, there is no concrete information available at this time.

Regardless of the transmission choice, aficionados of both Toyota and performance cars alike are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of this exciting model. The 2025 Toyota GRMN Supra, with its potent M4 engine, sleek new design updates, and track-inspired upgrades, promises to be a worthy contender in the realm of high-performance sports cars. Stay tuned for more information as it emerges on this thrilling automotive development.
