K-12 Schools

  1. Central Valley High School
    • Offers a comprehensive curriculum with numerous AP courses
    • Strong focus on STEM education and extracurricular activities
  2. University High School
    • Known for its International Baccalaureate (IB) program
    • Offers a variety of sports and arts programs
  3. Greenacres Elementary School
    • Highly rated for its supportive learning environment
    • Strong emphasis on character education and community involvement

Colleges and Universities

While Spokane Valley itself doesn’t host any major universities, there are several excellent institutions in nearby Spokane:

  1. Spokane Community College (Spokane)
    • Offers associate degrees and certificate programs
    • Known for its technical and professional programs
  2. Gonzaga University (Spokane)
    • Prestigious private Jesuit university
    • Known for its strong business, engineering, and law programs
  3. Eastern Washington University (Cheney)
    • Public university offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs
    • Known for its education, business, and health science programs

Remember that school and university rankings can change over time, and the “best” institution often depends on individual needs and preferences. It’s always recommended to visit schools, talk to current students and faculty, and research the most up-to-date information when making educational decisions.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
