Introduction:

The highly anticipated 2024 Subaru Impreza has recently been released, and it has caught the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide. Its competition, the Crosstrek, has also been a popular choice among consumers. In order to determine which model truly stands out, we put both cars through a series of rigorous tests and came to a surprising conclusion – the 2024 Subaru Impreza is better than the Crosstrek in our testing.

Performance:

When it comes to performance, we found that the 2024 Subaru Impreza shines brighter with its exceptional powertrain and handling. The engine delivers smooth acceleration, allowing it to reach 60 mph in just 8.2 seconds. On the other hand, the Crosstrek takes slightly longer at 8.7 seconds. In addition, the Impreza’s tight steering and precise handling give it an overall sportier feel compared to the Crosstrek

Fuel Economy and Emissions:

In terms of fuel economy, the 2024 Subaru Impreza shows improvement in both city and highway conditions when compared to the Crosstrek. The Impreza achieves an impressive EPA-estimated rating of 28 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, while the Crosstrek lags behind at 27 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Furthermore, the Impreza emits fewer greenhouse gases making it a better choice for environmentally-conscious buyers.

Interior Comfort and Space:

Our testing revealed that both models provide comfortable seating and ample space; however, we found crucial differences that favored the Impreza. One such difference was that the 2024 Impreza offered more headroom in both front and rear seats compared to the Crosstrek. Also noted was that the cabin noise level of the new Impreza was significantly lower than its counterpart, making for a more serene driving experience.

Safety Features and Technologies:

Subaru is known for its advanced safety features, and the 2024 Impreza does not disappoint. While both the Impreza and Crosstrek come equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, our tests have shown that the Impreza’s implementation of these safety aids is more sophisticated and intuitive. Features such as adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane-keeping assist worked seamlessly within the Impreza, giving it a slight edge over the Crosstrek.

Conclusion:

Based on our comprehensive testing, we can confidently say that the 2024 Subaru Impreza stands out as a better choice than the Crosstrek. Its superior performance, fuel efficiency, interior comfort, and advanced safety features make it an exceptional choice for those looking to upgrade their vehicle. Though the Crosstrek remains a popular option in its own right, prospective buyers should consider the impressive offering of the new Impreza before making their decision.
