The future of luxury electric vehicles is here with the arrival of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV. This all-electric SUV is packed with performance, style, and a plethora of innovative features that make it a standout in the market. We had the opportunity to take it for a spin and are happy to share our first impressions.

Performance

On the road, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is an absolute beast. Powered by dual electric motors, this all-wheel-drive SUV can generate up to 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque (with increased performance package). However, it doesn’t just offer raw power; the instant torque delivery from the electric powertrain guarantees a thrilling driving experience every time you step on the accelerator.

Handling

Mercedes has done an impressive job marrying stability and agility in the EQE. The chassis feels composed during turns, while the air suspension provides a smooth and comfortable ride over uneven surfaces. Additionally, the four-wheel steering feature greatly enhances maneuverability, making this large SUV feel agile even in tight spaces.

Design

The exterior design of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV reflects its status as a cutting-edge electric vehicle. Sleek lines and a low, eye-catching front grille give it a futuristic look, while large alloy wheels maintain its unmistakable identity as part of the AMG lineup. LED lighting elements accentuate its aggressive stance.

Interior

Mercedes’ commitment to luxury shines through in the meticulously crafted interior of the EQE SUV. Premium materials such as leather and Alcantara adorn comfortable seats that provide ample support during spirited driving sessions. The infotainment system is highlighted by MBUX Hyperscreen – an expansive (56 inches) curved glass screen that spans across almost the entire dashboard. It’s truly something you have to experience to believe.

Technology and Safety

In line with Mercedes’ reputation, the 2024 EQE SUV boasts a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and emergency braking assistance. The AMG model also carries over AMG high-performance braking system ensuring the powerful electric SUV stops as impressively as it starts.

Range and Charging

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is powered by a 90.6 kWh battery pack that is rated for a range of more than 300 miles on a single charge. DC fast charging capability means that the battery can be replenished from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes — perfect for those long road trips when your only pitstops are for coffee breaks.

Conclusion

Combining relentless performance, head-turning design, and geeky tech appeal, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV makes a strong case for itself in the luxury EV segment. If you’re in the market for an upscale electric vehicle that doesn’t skimp on performance or innovation, this electrifying ride should definitely be on your shortlist.
