Teaching literature to 5th graders can be a rewarding experience, as it allows them to explore different genres, unlock their imagination, and develop a love for reading. In this article, we will highlight 18 of our favorite books that are perfect for teaching in 5th grade classrooms.

1. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling: This magical journey is sure to captivate young readers with its blend of adventure and friendship.

2. “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis: Step into the world of Narnia and embark on a thrilling and magical adventure with the Pevensie siblings.
