Embarking on a National Park Road Trip is an excellent way to connect with nature and see some of the most breathtaking landscapes America has to offer. Here is a list of 18 fantastic national park road trips, in no particular order, each promising unique sights and memorable experiences.

1. California’s National Parks Loop – Starting in San Francisco, you can visit Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia National Park, and finish with the coastal beauty of Channel Islands National Park.

2. Utah’s Mighty Five – A classic trip through Utah can take you through its five incredible national parks: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches.

3. The Grand Circle – This iconic route covers not only Utah’s Mighty Five but also adds in the Grand Canyon in Arizona for an expansive tour of the Southwest.

4. Colorado’s Rocky Mountains – A trip from Denver through Rocky Mountain National Park up to Black Canyon of the Gunnison offers stunning mountain vistas.

5. Alaska’s Wilderness – Starting from Anchorage, explore Kenai Fjords National Park followed by the vast expanse of Denali National Park.

6. Pacific Northwest Wonders – Starting from Seattle or Portland, venture into Olympic National Park, then down to Mount Rainier National Park and close with Crater Lake in Oregon.
