Netflix has become a staple in the world of online streaming entertainment. With its massive library of shows and movies, there is always something for everyone. However, with all the choices available, it can be hard to make the most out of your Netflix experience. Here are 16 underrated tips that will enhance the way you watch your favorite content on Netflix.

1. Rate your watched content

By rating content after watching it, Netflix can better tailor recommendations to suit your taste.

2. Adjust playback settings

Improve the streaming quality according to your internet speed by tweaking playback settings in your account settings.

3. Take advantage of multiple profiles

Create separate profiles for each family member to ensure personalized recommendations and keep track of individual viewing habits.

4. Browse hidden categories

Explore Netflix’s hidden categories by using special codes added to the end of the URL (e.g., www.netflix.com/browse/genre/XXXX).

5. Clear viewing history

Remove content from your “continue watching” list by clearing your viewing history in your account settings.

6. Download for offline viewing

Make use of Netflix’s download feature to save shows and movies for offline viewing while on the go.

7. Use keyboard shortcuts

Learn keyboard shortcuts such as F (fullscreen), Spacebar (play/pause), and M (mute) for an easier watching experience.

8. Activate audio and subtitles

Enable different audio tracks or subtitles in various languages under the audio and subtitle options found in the playback bar.

9. Add IMDb ratings

Install browser extensions like IMDb Ratings for Netflix or RateFlix to easily view IMDb ratings within Netflix’s interface.

10. Use search filters

Narrow down your search based on keywords, actor names, or specific genres by using filters on Netflix’s search bar.

11. Set screen time limits

Set limitations on screen time per day for kids to promote a healthy viewing habit.

12. Enable parental controls

Keep age-appropriate content for kids by adjusting parental control settings according to the maturity rating.

13. Explore Netflix originals

Discover original content produced by Netflix, such as TV shows and movies, in the “Netflix Originals” category.

14. Preview trailers

Watch quick previews of shows and movies when you hover your cursor over the title thumbnails.

15. Watch with friends virtually

Download the browser extension “Netflix Party” (now Teleparty) to sync playback and chat with friends during a virtual movie night.

16. Utilize Rotten Tomatoes ratings

Browser extensions like RateFlix let you view Rotten Tomatoes scores next to the titles, helping you choose better content based on expert reviews.

Conclusion

With these 16 underrated tips, enhance your Netflix experience and get more bang for your buck. Now you can enjoy binge-watching sessions while making the most out of Netflix’s vast library of content. Happy streaming!
