Dating can be an exciting and nerve-wracking experience, but getting a second date is the ultimate goal for many. Here are 13 ways to increase your odds of landing that second date:

1.Be genuine: Authenticity is key in establishing a connection with your date. Being honest and down to earth will help your date feel more comfortable and willing to continue getting to know you.

2.Dress to impress: First impressions matter, so putting effort into your appearance shows that you respect the occasion and are interested in making a good impression.

3.Show up on time: Punctuality is a sign of respect and demonstrates that you value your date’s time, which will be appreciated and remembered.

4.Practice active listening: Focus on what your date is saying, zeroing in on their thoughts, feelings, and interests. Engage in the conversation by asking follow-up questions.

5.Keep your phone away: Give your full attention to your date by putting away any distractions like your phone.

6.Be positive and engaging: Project enthusiasm by smiling, maintaining eye contact, and exhibiting an upbeat attitude. This will make your date feel more at ease.

7.Choose the right location: Pick a spot that’s comfortable, fun, and sets the right tone for getting to know each other.

8.Get to know their interests: Ask thoughtful questions that delve deeper into their hobbies, career goals, or favorite travel destinations.

9.Find common ground: Discover shared interests or similar experiences, which can spark further conversation on future dates.

10.Be open-minded: Be willing to hear other opinions and learn new things from each other.

11.Show appreciation: Thank your date for their time and company at the end of the night, expressing your enjoyment of the experience.

12.Reach out afterward: Wait for an appropriate amount of time after the first date (24-48 hours), then send a message expressing your gratitude and interest in seeing them again.

13.Be yourself: Lastly, trust in your unique qualities and know that if the connection is right, a second date will naturally follow.

By putting these tips into practice, you’ll be well on your way to landing that elusive second date and further developing new relationships.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
