1. Safari Adventure: Transform your classroom into a safari with animal print decorations, faux vines, and safari hats for the students. Create a pretend safari vehicle for reading corner or dramatic play area.

2. Animal Alphabet: Use the jungle theme to teach the alphabet. Each letter can be associated with an animal found in the jungle. Hang posters of the animals around the room and create corresponding alphabet cards for the students to practice their ABCs.

3. Rainforest Math: Create math activities based on the rainforest theme. Use tropical animals to teach counting, addition, and subtraction. Create math stations or games with a rainforest twist.

4. Sensory Jungle: Set up sensory tables filled with objects found in the jungle. Use sand, rocks, leaves, and water to create a tactile experience for the students. Add plastic animals and insects for a hands-on learning opportunity.

5. Jungle Reading Nook: Create a cozy reading nook with jungle-themed pillows, blankets, and bean bags. Display books about animals, jungles, and adventures for students to explore.

6. Jungle Music: Introduce jungle-themed music and instruments to your class. Play songs with animal sounds or use percussion instruments to mimic jungle beats. Encourage students to create their own jungle-inspired compositions.

7. Jungle Writing Corner: Set up a writing corner with jungle-themed writing prompts, stationary, and posters. Encourage students to write stories, poems, or create their own jungle adventure books.

8. Jungle Science Lab: Explore the wonders of the jungle through science experiments. Set up a
lab area with magnifying glasses, microscopes, and specimens. Conduct experiments on topics like plant growth, animal adaptations, and food chains.

9. Tropical Art Gallery: Display student artwork inspired by the jungle theme. Create a gallery wall with drawings, paintings, and collages of jungle scenes, animals, and plants.

10. Jungle Geography: Explore the different jungles around the world. Use maps, globes, and books to learn about the Amazon Rainforest, African jungles, and Southeast Asian rainforests. Discuss the diverse flora and fauna found in these regions.

11. Jungle Gym: Create a jungle-themed indoor playground with climbing structures, balance beams, and obstacle courses. Incorporate jungle animal-themed yoga or movement activities to keep students active.

12. Jungle Food Exploration: Introduce students to tropical fruits and snacks commonly found in the jungle. Have a taste test session where students get to try fruits like mangoes, pineapples, and passionfruit. Discuss the origin and nutritional benefits of these foods.

13. Jungle Storytelling: Invite guest speakers or local storytellers to share traditional stories and legends from different jungles around the world. Create storytelling circles where students can share their own jungle-themed stories and adventures.

Remember, each jungle theme idea can be adapted and expanded to suit your classroom’s unique needs and limitations. Enjoy exploring the jungle in your classroom!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
