“The Sopranos” – A trailblazing series that delves into the life of New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano, as he navigates the challenges of managing his criminal empire and his family life.

“Game of Thrones” – Based on George R.R. Martin’s book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” this epic fantasy series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among noble families for control of the Iron Throne of Westeros.

“The Wire” – An exploration of Baltimore’s drug trade seen through the eyes of both law enforcement and drug dealers, offering a gritty and realistic portrayal of urban life.

“Westworld” – This sci-fi western series set in a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park populated by androids explores themes of artificial consciousness and the nature of reality.

“Succession” – Focusing on the Roy family, owners of a global media conglomerate, this series touches on power struggles and family dynamics when they consider what the future will hold for them once their aging father begins to step back from the company.

“Chernobyl” – A haunting dramatization of the true story of one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history: the catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in 1986.

“Band of Brothers” – An epic miniseries that follows Easy Company, part of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment during World War II, from jump training in the US through its participation in major actions in Europe up until Japan’s capitulation and war’s end.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” – Larry David stars as himself in an unflinching, unsparing depiction of his life. The show blurs the lines between reality and fiction in a very humorous narrative.

“True Detective” – An anthology crime series in which police investigations unearth personal and professional secrets of those involved, whether they are within or outside the law.

“Barry” – Dark comedy about a low-rent hitman from the Midwest who falls into acting while on a job in LA. Barry finds passion and community in a local acting class but struggles to reconcile his criminal past with his new artistic aspirations.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
