With the rising costs of subscription services and the multitude of platforms available, students often look for ways to enjoy their favorite shows and movies without breaking the bank. Fortunately, several streaming services offer generous discounts for those currently enrolled in a higher education institution. Here’s a list of some of the best streaming discounts available to students.

Spotify Premium with Hulu and SHOWTIME: Often touted as the best deal in student streaming, Spotify offers a bundled package that includes its Premium service along with access to Hulu’s ad-supported plan and SHOWTIME for just $4.99 per month. This offering provides an enormous library of music, TV shows, movies, and original series at one-fifth the combined regular price.

Amazon Prime Student: Amazon extends its Prime membership to students at half the cost, providing access to Prime Video, unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos, as well as free two-day shipping on millions of items. After a six-month free trial, students pay just $6.49 per month or $59 per year to enjoy these benefits which include access to thousands of popular films and television series.

Apple Music Student Subscription: For those entrenched in the Apple ecosystem or those who appreciate exclusivity that Apple Music’s library can offer, the student subscription is an attractive option. At $4.99 per month, it offers a considerable discount from the standard rate. As an added perk, it also comes bundled with Apple TV+, giving students access to its growing catalog of original content.

YouTube Premium Student Plan: Recognizing that many students love YouTube’s vast selection of content – from educational material to entertainment – YouTube Premium provides a way to experience it all without interruptions from ads. At only $6.99 per month for students (a discount from the regular $11.99), it also allows for downloading videos and includes access to YouTube Music.

Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access) College Student Plan: Paramount+ offers a marvelous 25% off its monthly subscription price for students. They can enjoy on-demand TV series, movies, live TV (including NFL on CBS), and exclusive originals like “Star Trek: Picard” at discounted rates.

Note that most student discounts require verification of enrollment status through services such as UNiDAYS or directly through the platform by providing a university email address. Discounts are subject to change based on partnerships and policies of individual streaming platforms.

Remember, savvy students combine these discounts with family plans or shared memberships where possible (always conforming to service terms) for additional savings! Always check for updates directly on streaming services’ websites or through their customer support channels to ensure that you’re getting the best deal possible for your student budget.
