Observation decks offer some of the most breathtaking views of the skylines, landscapes, and vistas of the United States. These sky-high platforms allow visitors to experience cities and nature from an entirely new perspective. From towering urban landmarks to panoramic natural beauties, here are the 8 best observation decks in the US:

1.One World Observatory, New York City – Located atop the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Observatory offers stunning views of Manhattan and beyond from its position 1,776 feet above the city.

2.Willis Tower Skydeck, Chicago – The Skydeck offers visitors a chance to step out onto The Ledge, a series of glass-bottomed boxes that extend out from the 103rd floor, providing a thrilling view 1,353 feet over Chicago.

3.Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles – Nestled in the Hollywood Hills, Griffith Observatory offers panoramic views of Los Angeles and the famous Hollywood sign, along with public telescopes for stargazing.

4.Top of The Rock Observation Deck, New York – Rockfeller Center’s multi-level observation deck provides unobstructed 360-degree views of New York City that include Central Park and the Empire State Building.

5.Space Needle, Seattle – A symbol of innovation for the Pacific Northwest, Seattle’s Space Needle features a glass-floored rotating observation deck called The Loupe at 520 feet.

6.High Roller, Las Vegas – Ditching traditional observation decks for an observational wheel, the High Roller provides a 30-minute rotation with an expansive overview of the Las Vegas Strip from cabins that soar 550 feet above ground.

7.Grand Canyon Skywalk, Arizona – Suspended over 4,000 feet above the Colorado River on the edge of Grand Canyon West is a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge called the Grand Canyon Skywalk offering unparalleled views of this natural wonder.

8.CN Tower’s Edgewalk, Toronto [while in Canada it’s worth mentioning due to proximity and popularity among US visitors] – For thrill-seekers, this observation deck includes an adrenaline-pumping hands-free walk on a ledge encircling the top of CN Tower’s main pod at 1,168 feet up.

Each of these incredible observation decks offers a unique experience and view that can provide memories for a lifetime. Whether you’re looking to conquer your fear of heights or simply wanting to take in some awe-inspiring sights during your travels across America, be sure to add these top observation decks to your itinerary.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
