As we grow older, our eyesight tends to deteriorate naturally. This can result in difficulties for people who want to use computers or smartphones comfortably. This is where the built-in Zoom feature of Apple comes in handy.

Zoom is a feature that lets you magnify your screen on your iPhone, iPad or Macbook. It’s a built-in accessibility feature that Apple has included in all of its products to help visually-challenged individuals to use their devices comfortably. The feature works by magnifying the items on the screen, and the magnification can be adjusted to fit the user’s needs.

In this article, we will guide you through how to use the Zoom feature on your Apple device.

How to Use Zoom on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Step 1: First, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom. Toggle on Zoom, and you can then adjust the Zoom level by dragging the slider left or right. You can also enable the Zoom Controller, which you can use to control Zoom from an overlay on the screen.

Step 2: Once you’ve enabled Zoom, you can triple-tap on your screen with three fingers to turn on the Zoom feature. This action will automatically zoom in on the screen. You can then adjust the magnification by dragging two fingers up or down.

Step 3: You can also use the Zoom Controller to adjust the magnification or move around on the zoomed-in screen. To bring up the Zoom Controller, just tap on the screen with three fingers and tap on the Zoom Controller icon.

How to Use Zoom on a Macbook

Step 1: First, go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom. Toggle on Zoom and adjust the Zoom level to your preference.

Step 2: Once you’ve enabled Zoom, you can turn it on by pressing the Command + Option + 8 keys. Alternatively, you can go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom > Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom, and choose your preferred keyboard shortcut from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: You can then adjust the magnification by pressing the Command + Option + = or – keys.

Conclusion

The Zoom feature is a great accessibility feature for those who want to use their Apple devices comfortably. With this guide, you can easily turn on and adjust the Zoom feature on your iPhone, iPad, or Macbook. Don’t let visual impairments hold you back from using technology. With the Zoom feature, you can enjoy all the benefits that technology offers comfortably.
