As a Google Docs user, you might be wondering if there is a way to see who has viewed your document. This feature could be particularly useful for businesses or educational settings where multiple people have access to the same documents. Fortunately, there is indeed a way to see each version of a document and the people who have viewed it. Follow these simple steps to learn how to see who has viewed a Google Doc.

Step 1: Open the Google Doc

First, you must open the Google Doc for which you want to know the viewers. You can do so by going to your Google Drive and finding the document that you want to view. Once you find it, click on it to open it.

Step 2: Click on the “File” menu

When the Google Doc is opened, you will see a toolbar at the top of the page. Look for the “File” menu on the left-hand side of the toolbar and click on it.

Step 3: Click on the “Version History” option

In the dropdown menu that appears, click on the “Version History” option. This will take you to a page where you can see all of the previous versions of the document.

Step 4: Select the version

You will see a list of all the previous versions of the Google Doc. Choose the version that you want to view by clicking on the date and time next to the version.

Step 5: Click “People”

After selecting the version, you will see a toolbar at the top of the page. Click on the “People” button on this toolbar. This will show you who has viewed this particular version of the document.

Step 6: Review the viewer list

A list of all the viewers of the document will appear. Each person’s email address will be listed, along with the date and time they viewed the document. This list will help you keep track of who has viewed the document and when they did so.

Final thoughts

In conclusion, checking who has viewed a Google Doc is a simple process. You only need to follow the simple steps listed above. Now that you know how to see who has viewed your document, you will be able to track who accessed the document and when. This is an essential feature for businesses or educational settings where it’s necessary to keep track of document accesses. Therefore, it’s essential to stay vigilant and secure while keeping your data and documents safe. Visit this link for more tips on Google Docs Invoice Template.
