How to Open Your Locker: 7 Steps

Opening your locker can seem like a daunting task, especially if you’re new to the world of combination locks and crowded hallways. However, with a little practice and understanding of the mechanics, unlocking your locker will become an easy part of your daily routine. Follow these seven simple steps to gain easy access to your locker.

1. Locate your locker

Ensure that you have the correct locker number and are at the right location. The last thing you want is to attempt opening someone else’s locker!

2. Clear the lock

Before you start dialing your combination, spin the dial several times in a clockwise direction (to the right). This will ensure that you start with a ‘clean slate’ and clear any previous input.

3. Enter the first number
Begin turning the dial clockwise until you reach the first number in your combination. Stop precisely on this number.

4. Enter the second number

Now, switch direction, turning the dial counterclockwise (to the left) one full rotation past the first number. Continue turning until you reach the second number of your combination, stopping exactly on it.

5. Enter the third number

Turn the dial clockwise again (to the right) and proceed directly to the third number in your combination. You don’t have to pass any other numbers this time – just stop precisely on this final digit.

6. Pull or Turn

Once you have dialed all three numbers in sequence, either pull up on a padlock-style latch or turn a built-in lever handle to unlock your locker door.

7. Access Your Locker

Congratulations! Your locker is now open and ready for use. Store your belongings inside and ensure to close it properly before securing it again with your lock.

Remember that practice makes perfect – by following these steps consistently and paying close attention to each detail, you’ll grow more comfortable with opening your locker each time. Soon, it will become second nature, allowing you to access your books and supplies quickly and efficiently

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
