As music streaming becomes more popular, it’s natural to want to share your favorite tunes with friends. With Spotify, you can now listen to music together, even when you are not in the same place. Here is how you can listen to Spotify with friends:

Create a Playlist: The first step towards listening to Spotify with friends is creating a playlist. A playlist brings all your favorite tracks in one place, making it easy to access and share. You can choose any genre, artist or even create a playlist based on a theme such as a road trip or workout.

Join a Group Session: Spotify has introduced a feature called Group Session. This feature allows you and your friends to listen to the same music at the same time. You can host a group session by clicking on the ‘connect’ button at the bottom left of the Spotify screen, then select ‘start a group session’. Once you have done that, share the unique code to your friends and they can join in the session.

Host a Listening Party: Hosting a listening party is another way to enjoy Spotify with friends. You can use a conference call or video conferencing service to listen to music at the same time. You can use applications such as Zoom or Skype and stream your Spotify account. Just make sure everyone is on mute to avoid playing multiple songs at the same time.

Share a Link: Sharing a link is another easy way to share your favorite songs or playlist with friends. You can copy the playlist link and share it with your friends via social media or messaging. Once they click on the link, they can access the playlist on their Spotify account.

Collaborative Playlists: Another way to enjoy Spotify with friends is through collaborative playlists. This feature allows everyone in the group to add songs to the same playlist. You can turn on the collaborative playlist feature by clicking the ‘three dots’ icon next to the playlist name and selecting ‘collaborative playlist’. Everyone in the group can now add their favorite tracks to the playlist, making it a shared experience.

In conclusion, Spotify offers a range of features that make it easy to enjoy listening to music with friends. From group sessions and listening parties to sharing links and creating collaborative playlists, Spotify has got you covered. Regardless of your method, Spotify makes music sharing a social experience, connecting you to your friends through music.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
