Introduction:

In Banished, a city-building strategy game, managing your town’s population is essential for growth and development. One way to increase your population is by attracting nomads, wandering groups of people willing to join your town and help it prosper. Here are 10 steps you need to take to get nomads in Banished:

1. Build a Town Hall:

The first step is to build a Town Hall, which acts as the central administrative building. At the Town Hall, you can manage your resources and citizens, set policies, collect taxes, and accept newcomers.

2. Grow Your Population:

A town with a significant population increase can attract nomads more easily. Focus on building houses for your citizens and give them opportunities for family-planning education.

3. Ensure Adequate Resources:

Nomads will not join your town if it lacks essential resources such as food and firewood. Make sure you have sufficient production and storage capacities.

4. Develop Education Facilities:

Nomads will be encouraged to join an educated community that values knowledge. Building schools and employing teachers will improve the overall wellbeing of your population and attract newcomers.

5. Create Job Opportunities:

Establish various industries in your town so that there are ample job opportunities for both new arrivals and existing residents. This might include farming, mining, fishing, or forester professions.

6. Maintain a Safe Environment:

Having a healthy community with low crime rates is crucial for attracting nomads. Invest in public safety facilities like hospitals and guard towers to maintain the wellbeing of your townsfolk.

7. Trade with Other Towns:

Engaging in trade with other towns can encourage nomads to settle in your town as they hear about the prosperous opportunities available there.

8. Be Active in Communication:

Spread information about your town’s success through various means such as advertising campaigns or sending out representatives to engage with nomadic groups.

9. Build a Marketplace:

A well-functioning marketplace full of resources and supplies will create suitable conditions for nomads looking for a stable environment to settle in.

10. Accept Nomads:

Once you have successfully attracted a nomadic group to your town, you need to accept them at the Town Hall. Be aware that accepting nomads can also bring new challenges in terms of food, housing, and healthcare, so make sure your town is prepared to accommodate new citizens.

Conclusion:

Incorporating these ten steps into your Banished gameplay strategy will help you attract nomads and grow your town. A larger, more diverse population is key to achieving long-term success in Banished. Happy city-building!
