How to Do Alice Cooper Makeup: 11 Steps

Alice Cooper, the iconic rock singer known for his theatrical stage presence and unforgettable character, often sported dark, dramatic makeup that was as much a part of his image as his music. With a few essential products and steps, you too can pull off this striking makeup look. Here’s how to do Alice Cooper makeup in 11 steps.

1. Start with a clean face: Always begin your makeup application on a fresh, clean face. Wash your face thoroughly using your favorite cleanser and dry with a clean towel.

2. Apply a moisturizer: Moisturize your skin to keep it hydrated and ready for makeup application. Choose an oil-free moisturizer if you have oily skin and apply it evenly across the face.

3. Apply foundation: To create an even base across your face, apply foundation that matches your skin tone. Use either a foundation brush or makeup sponge and blend it well into your skin.

4. Set foundation with powder: Use a translucent powder to set the foundation in place and absorb excess oil. This will ensure your makeup stays put throughout the day or night.

5. Define your eyebrows: Using an eyebrow pencil that matches your hair color, lightly fill in your brows following their natural shape.

6. Prep your eyes: Apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer onto the entire lid; this will help secure the eyeshadow and prevent creasing during wear.

7. Create a dramatic eye look: For Alice Cooper’s signature eye makeup, apply black eyeshadow across both eyelids, extending slightly past the outer corners of the eyes. Blend out any harsh lines with a fluffy blending brush.

8. Add some smokiness: For added depth, apply dark gray or brown eyeshadow into the crease of each eye and blend towards the brow bone.

9. Apply eyeliner: Using black kohl eyeliner pencil, line the inner rims of your upper and lower lashes to create an intense, smoldering look.

10. Apply mascara: Apply several coats of black mascara to both your top and bottom lashes, waiting for each coat to dry before applying the next. This will help accentuate your eyes even further.

11. Finish with Alice Cooper’s signature finishing touches: To achieve his most iconic look, draw on black “teardrops” that extend from the outer corners of each eye, down onto your cheeks. Then, complete the look by adding dark lipstick or lip gloss in a shade like deep red or black.

Now that you’ve mastered Alice Cooper’s makeup, get ready to rock and roll with this unforgettable style!
