The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld gaming console that has been a popular option for gamers since its release in 2011. With various models and bundles being released regularly, buyers may find themselves wondering, “How much is a Nintendo 3DS?”

The price of a Nintendo 3DS largely depends on the model and any accompanying accessories or games. The original 3DS was released in 2011 and had a retail price of $249.99. However, Nintendo later released the 3DS XL, which had a larger screen and retailed for $199.99. Additionally, the New Nintendo 3DS XL, released in 2015, had improved features and retailed for $199.99 as well.

Currently, the Nintendo 2DS XL is the only model available for purchase new from retailers. It has all of the same features as the New 3DS XL, except for the 3D capability, and retails for $149.99. The original Nintendo 2DS, which did not fold in half like other models, retailed for $129.99 when it was released in 2013.

When purchasing a Nintendo 3DS, it is also important to consider any accessories or games that may be included in a bundle. For example, a 3DS XL bundle with a game may cost more than the console alone. Additionally, buying games separately can add up quickly. The retail price for a new game for the 3DS typically ranges from $29.99 to $39.99.

Lastly, buyers may also want to consider purchasing a used 3DS or trading in an older model for a discount on a new one. Used 3DS consoles can be found for significantly less than their original retail price, and trading in an older console may result in a discount on a new one.

In conclusion, how much a Nintendo 3DS costs largely depends on the model and any accompanying accessories or games. Currently, the Nintendo 2DS XL is the only new model available and retails for $149.99. However, buyers can also find used models or trade in an older console for a discount.
