If you’re a gamer, you know how important it is to have every device in your arsenal that can help you play more games. NVIDIA Shield TV is one such device that allows you to stream your favorite PC games right to your TV. There’s no need to have a powerful gaming PC in your room, just use Steam Link on your NVIDIA Shield TV and start playing.

Here’s how you can stream PC games on your NVIDIA Shield TV via Steam Link.

Step 1: Download Steam

First things first, you need to have Steam installed on your PC. You can download it for free from the official website and install it on your PC. Once it’s installed, create your account and set it up with your favorite games.

Step 2: Install Steam Link on your NVIDIA Shield TV

Next, head to the Google Play Store on your NVIDIA Shield TV and search for ‘Steam Link’. Install the app, and it will take a few minutes to set up.

Step 3: Connect your NVIDIA Shield TV and PC

Now, you need to connect your NVIDIA Shield TV and PC. Make sure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you have an Ethernet cable, it’s even better to use that.

Step 4: Pair your NVIDIA Shield TV and Steam

After connecting both devices, open the Steam Link app on your NVIDIA Shield TV. And, follow the on-screen instructions to pair it with your PC. Once the connection is made, the app should automatically detect your Steam account and load your library of games.

Step 5: Start Playing!

Now that you’ve got the connection set up, you can start streaming PC games on your NVIDIA Shield TV. Select the game you want to play and start playing. Before you start playing, make sure to adjust your video settings, such as resolution to suit your TV.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
