The Ford Fusion is a mid-size sedan that has been in production since 2005 as Ford’s flagship model. It is available in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, as well as gas-engine options.

Model Overview:

The Ford Fusion is available in four different trims: the S, SE, SEL and Titanium. The base S model starts at $24,165 and comes with features such as a six-speaker sound system, a rearview camera, automatic headlights, and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

The SE trim starts at $24,765 and comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The SEL trim starts at $29,520 and includes the added features of a premium 11-speaker sound system, heated front seats, and a 1.5-liter Ecoboost engine. The Titanium trim, which starts at $34,450, adds even more luxury features such as a 12-speaker Sony sound system, leather seats, and a 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine.

Tech: The 2020 Ford Fusion offers a variety of tech features such as Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system, which offers voice-activated controls, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and Amazon Alexa integration. Other features include an available 12-inch digital instrument cluster, FordPass Connect, and Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.

Specs: The Ford Fusion offers a variety of engine options, including a hybrid and plug-in hybrid version. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 175 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The SE and SEL models upgrade to a 1.5-liter Ecoboost engine that produces 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. The Titanium trim offers a 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine that produces 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.

The Fusion hybrid combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack to produce a combined 188 horsepower. The plug-in hybrid version of the Fusion can travel up to 26 miles on electric power alone and has a combined system output of 188 horsepower. Both versions come standard with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
