Intro:

Closing apps on your Android device is crucial to maintaining smooth performance and saving battery life. Luckily, Android offers multiple simple methods for closing apps. In this article, we will explore three ways to close apps on your Android phone or tablet.

1. Swipe Away from the Recent Apps Screen

One of the most straightforward methods is using the Recent Apps screen to manage and close your running apps. Follow these steps:

a. Press the Recent Apps button on your device, usually located at the bottom-left corner of the screen or in the navigation bar.

b. You will see a list of apps that you have recently used. To close an app, simply swipe it left or right with your finger.

c. Repeat this process for all the apps you want to close.

2. Force Stop through App Info

If an app is unresponsive or causing issues, you might need to force stop it completely. Doing so will not delete any data or uninstall the app but will terminate all its processes.

a. Open Settings on your Android device.

b. Scroll down and tap on “Apps” or “Application Manager.”

c. Find and tap on the app you want to force stop.

d. Tap “Force Stop,” followed by “OK” in the confirmation dialog.

3. Use a Third-Party App Manager

There are several third-party app managers available that make it even easier to manage and close apps running in the background.

a. Download a reputable app manager from Google Play Store – some popular options are Advanced Task Manager, Greenify, or App Hibernation.

b. After installation, open your selected app manager.

c. Follow the specific directions provided by the app manager for closing background apps, which may include selecting multiple apps at once and clicking a button to terminate them all.

Conclusion:

These three easy techniques will help you manage and close unnecessary apps on your Android device, optimizing performance and battery life. Explore these methods and choose the one that best suits your needs. Remember, to prevent apps from running in the background, close them properly after each use and regularly review your app settings for optimal functionality.
