Best Spotify Equaliser Settings

Finding the best Spotify equalizer settings can greatly enhance your music listening experience. Since everyone’s taste in music and hearing sensitivity is different, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all setting. However, understanding what each frequency adjustment does can help you customize your sound.

For a Balanced Sound:

– Increase the 60 Hz frequency slightly for a bit more bass.

– Adjust the 400 Hz frequency slightly lower to remove some of the muddiness.

– Raise the 2.5 kHz frequency a bit for clarity in vocals and instruments like guitars.

– Slightly boost the 15 kHz frequency for more sparkle in the high-end.

For Bass-Heavy Music:

– Boost the frequencies around 60 Hz and 150 Hz to emphasize the bass.

– Lower mid-range frequencies around 400 Hz to keep it from being overpowering.

– Gently raise frequencies at 2.5 kHz to retain vocal clarity.

– Be cautious with high frequencies (above 10 kHz) as boosting them too much might detract from the bass.

For Vocal-Centric Music:

– Lower the lower frequencies (60 Hz) slightly to reduce bass dominance.

– Slightly raise mid-range frequencies around 1 kHz and 2.5 kHz to highlight vocals and acoustic instruments.

– You may also want to increase frequencies around 5 kHz for vocal presence and clarity.

– A very slight boost at 15 kHz can add crispness to sibilant sounds like “s” and “t”.

To preserve sound quality, remember that subtle adjustments are key—dramatic boosts or cuts can lead to distortion or an unnatural sound balance. Also, keep in mind that these settings apply differently depending on your headphones or speakers’ capacity and quality.

Remember, the ultimate test is your own ears, so start with these suggestions and tweak them little by little until you find what sounds best for you.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
