Horror enthusiasts rejoice as Hulu boasts a collection of cinematic terror that spans through the decades. Whether it’s eerie supernatural encounters or blood-curdling slasher flicks you’re after, these classic horror movies offer something spine-chilling for every fan of the genre. Here are the ten best classic horror movies available on Hulu right now to send shivers down your spine.

.Psycho (1960) – No classic horror list would be complete without Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece, ‘Psycho’. The infamous shower scene and the twisted story of Norman Bates remain etched in the annals of horror fame.

.The Exorcist (1973) – Known for being one of the most terrifying films ever made, ‘The Exorcist’ follows the demonic possession of a young girl and an exorcism that tests the faith of two priests.

.The Omen (1976) – This chilling tale centers around a young child named Damien, who is discovered to be the Antichrist. Chock-full of biblical references and apocalyptic imagery, ‘The Omen’ stands tall as a landmark in horror cinema.

.Carrie (1976) – Based on Stephen King’s first published novel, ‘Carrie’ is a heartbreaking yet horrifying story of humiliation, rage, and revenge centered around a high-school girl with telekinetic powers.

.Night of the Living Dead (1968) – George A. Romero’s pioneering zombie film remains influential as it pits survivors against hordes of the undead, laying down rules for countless zombie narratives to follow.

.A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) – In Wes Craven’s iconic film, Freddy Krueger stalks the dreams of teenagers from Elm Street, blending reality with nightmarish fantasy in a truly original way.

.The Shining (1980) – Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of another Stephen King novel has become legendary in its own right as it follows a family descending into madness within an isolated haunted hotel.

.Hellraiser (1987) – Clive Barker introduced audiences to a world of pain and pleasure indistinguishable with his dark fantasy about supernatural beings known as Cenobites, led by the iconic Pinhead.

.Alien (1979) – Ridley Scott directed this sci-fi horror that introduces us to one of cinema’s most enduring monsters—the Xenomorph—as well as heroine Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver.

.Friday the 13th (1980) – Though often imitated, the original ‘Friday the 13th’ remains an epitome of slasher cinema with its introduction to Camp Crystal Lake where Jason Voorhees becomes synonymous with masked killers.

Watching any of these seminal works is sure to leave you checking over your shoulder and may very well remind you why these films have stood the test of time to be considered classics in horror cinema history. So turn off the lights and delve into these timeless tales—just be prepared for what lurks in the shadows!
