Ghostrunner 2, much like its predecessor, is a fast-paced cyberpunk action game that demands precision and quick reflexes. The game allows players to unlock various skills to enhance their abilities, making navigating the neon-lit world and confronting enemies a bit easier—or at least more stylish. For newcomers and veterans alike, deciding which skills to unlock first can be overwhelming. Here are the 7 best skills to focus on initially to give you an edge in the game:

1. Blink: This skill allows you to perform a short-distance teleportation move that can be used both offensively and defensively. It’s perfect for closing in on enemies quickly or escaping tight situations.

2. Tempest: The Tempest ability pushes back enemies and deflects projectiles with a forceful blast of energy. This is especially useful when surrounded or when dealing with numerous ranged attackers.

3. Sensory Boost: Slowing down time is invaluable in Ghostrunner, and the Sensory Boost skill does just that, allowing for more precise movements and attacks. It’s incredibly helpful for navigating complex platforming sections or dodging incoming fire.

4. Surge: Surge is a ranged attack that slices through multiple enemies in a straight line. It’s perfect for taking out groups of adversaries who are lined up or just out of reach of your sword.

5. Focus: Focus extends the duration of your Sensory Boost’s slow-motion effect, enabling even more control over your movement and combat strategy, which is key for mastering difficult sequences.

6. Overlord: With Overlord, you have the ability to hack into certain enemies’ minds and turn them into allies temporarily. It can turn the tide by adding another target for enemies to focus on while dealing extra damage.

7. Dash: An improved Dash not only lets you move faster but can also be used to break through certain barriers or dodge attacks swiftly. It’s an essential mobility tool that will be used constantly throughout the game.

By prioritizing these seven skills early on in Ghostrunner 2, players will equip themselves with a versatile set of abilities suitable for a wide range of challenges they will face as they ascend Dharma Tower and uncover its secrets.
