Reims, a city in the Grand Est region of France, is known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and as the unofficial capital of the Champagne wine-growing region. Choosing where to stay in Reims can greatly enhance your visit, whether you’re there for sightseeing, shopping, dining, or indulging in champagne tasting. Here are five of the best areas and neighborhoods to consider for your stay:

1. Centre-Ville (City Center): The heart of Reims is without a doubt the best place to stay if you want to bask in history and architecture. With the Notre-Dame de Reims cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and plenty of shopping and dining options at your doorstep, it’s ideal for first-time visitors keen on experiencing the essence of Reims.

2. Saint-Rémi: For those interested in delving deeper into the history of Reims, Saint-Rémi is home to the Basilique Saint-Remi and its adjacent museum. This neighborhood offers a more relaxed atmosphere while still being within walking distance of the city center.

3. Cernay / Les États-Unis: This area is perfect for travelers looking to explore beyond the typical tourist paths. It’s a more residential neighborhood offering a genuine local experience. The Pommery Champagne House is nearby, providing easy access for those interested in champagne tours.

4. Coutures: If you’re interested in a bohemian vibe with trendy bistros and an artsy atmosphere, Coutures might be just right for you. It’s slightly off-center but has a unique charm and quieter streets, perfect for those who want a laid-back stay.

5. Clairmarais / Gare de Reims: For ease of travel and accessibility, staying near Reims train station could be very convenient—especially if you’re planning to venture out to nearby regions or are on a business trip with time constraints.

When selecting any of these neighborhoods or areas in Reims for your stay, you’ll have access to different facets of this vibrant city—from historical landmarks and gastronomy to cultural experiences and champagne tastings.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
