The Pixel 8 Pro is one of the most advanced smartphones on the market, and with its Video Boost feature, it takes video playback quality to an entirely new level. Whether you’re streaming your favorite TV shows or movies, or just sharing clips with friends, enabling Video Boost can enhance your viewing experience by optimizing brightness, contrast, and color in real-time. Here’s how you can use this innovative feature on your Pixel 8 Pro.

Step 1: Open your video

Firstly, unlock your Pixel 8 Pro and open the video you want to play. You can find videos in the Google Photos app or any other video-containing app like YouTube or Netflix.

Step 2: Enter full-screen mode

For Video Boost to be most effective, you should make sure you’re in full-screen mode. Most apps will enter this mode when you rotate your phone to landscape orientation.

Step 3: Accessing Video Boost settings

While the video is playing, tap on the screen to bring up the playback controls. Look for the “Video Boost” button which may appear as an icon symbolizing improved clarity or quality – it could represent detail enhancement like a little magic wand or a star.

Step 4: Enable Video Boost

Tap on the Video Boost button. Your screen will briefly flash as the feature activates. You should now notice that your video looks clearer with more vibrant colors and improved contrast levels.

Step 5: Adjust Video Boost settings (If applicable)

Some versions of the Pixel 8 Pro might allow you to adjust the level of Video Boost effects. If this is available, after activating the feature, you may see a slider pop up that allows you to increase or decrease its strength based on your preference.

Step 6: Enjoy enhanced quality

Now sit back and enjoy your video. With Video Boost enabled, even lower-quality videos should appear sharper and more vibrant on your Pixel 8 Pro’s display.

Step 7: Turning off Video Boost

If at any time you want to disable Video Boost, just tap on the screen again to bring up controls and hit the Video Boost button again. The feature will turn off, returning your video playback to its original state.

Remember that although Video Boost is designed to enhance video quality without significantly affecting battery life, using it continuously will have some impact given the extra processing power required. Make sure your phone is adequately charged if you plan on binge-watching anything with Video Boost enabled for an extended period!

In conclusion, using Video Boost on your Pixel 8 Pro is swift and straightforward. With just a few taps of a button, you can transform your ordinary videos into vivid scenes that pop off your high-resolution display. Whether enhancing dark scenes or making colorful ones burst, enabling this function allows for an optimized media-consuming experience that takes full advantage of your device’s cutting-edge technology.
