Changing your Amazon Prime Video account on your Firestick, TV, or mobile device is a simple process that allows you to switch between different Amazon accounts within the Prime Video app. Whether you’re sharing your device or just need to switch to a different account with its own set of preferences and content library, this guide will walk you through the steps to easily manage and modify which Prime Video account is active on your devices.

For Firestick:

  1. Go to the home screen of your Fire TV and select ‘Settings’.
  2. Scroll right and choose ‘My Account’.
  3. If an account is already logged in, you’ll see an option to ‘Deregister’. Select it.
  4. Confirm that you want to deregister. Your Firestick will then return to its original state as if it were new.
  5. Once deregistered, you’ll be prompted to ‘Register’ again.
  6. Enter the new Amazon account information (e-mail address and password) that you want to use with your Prime Video.
  7. Once registered, your Firestick will be associated with the new Amazon Prime Video account.

For TV:

  1. Open the Prime Video app on your smart TV.
  2. If already logged in, navigate to ‘Settings’, then select the option for ‘Account’ or ‘My Account’.
  3. Find a sign out option and confirm that you want to sign out.
  4. Upon signing out, you will be taken back to the app’s home screen.
  5. Look for a ‘Sign In’ prompt, select it, and log in with your new Amazon Prime Video account credentials.

For Mobile Devices:

  1. Open the Amazon Prime Video app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap ‘My Stuff’ at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on the gear icon in the upper right corner to access ‘Settings’.
  4. Scroll down to find ‘Sign out’ and tap it.
  5. Confirm by tapping ‘Sign Out’ again when prompted.
  6. After signing out, you’ll return to the start screen of the app where you can sign in with a different Amazon account by entering your email address and password.

Remember that changing accounts will affect access to content like purchased movies or TV shows, watchlist, and selections based on viewing history tied specifically to each Amazon account’s Prime Video profile.

The simplicity of this process ensures that switching accounts can be done quickly without much disruption should you need access to a different set of content or preferences across various devices like Firestick, smart TVs or mobile phones or tablets running iOS or Android operating systems.

In conclusion, by following these step-by-step instructions for each device type, viewers can seamlessly transition between different Amazon Prime Video accounts without any hassle, ensuring access is tailored and personalized no matter what device is being used for streaming content.
