Cleaning your plastic eyeglasses is essential to maintaining clear vision and prolonging the life of your eyewear. Keep your glasses in top shape by following these 10 simple steps.

1. Gather Supplies: For cleaning your plastic eyeglasses, you will need a microfiber cloth, a gentle dish soap, and warm water. Avoid using hot water, as it can damage the lenses or frame.

2. Remove Dust and Debris: Use a soft brush, such as an old toothbrush or small paintbrush, to gently remove dust and debris from the frame and around the nose pads.

3. Prepare Soapy Water Solution: Mix a few drops of gentle dish soap with warm water to create a soapy solution.

4. Dip Glasses in Solution: Immerse your glasses in the soapy water solution, ensuring that both lenses are fully submerged.

5. Gently Clean Lenses: With a gentle touch, use your fingertips to rub both sides of each lens in circular motions. Be sure to avoid applying too much pressure – you don’t want to cause scratches.

6. Clean Frame and Nose Pads: Next, use the soapy water solution and your fingertips or soft brush to carefully clean the frame and nose pads of the glasses. Make sure you get into all the nooks and crannies.

7. Rinse Your Glasses: Once you’ve finished cleaning both lenses and frames, rinse thoroughly under running warm water to ensure all soap residue is removed.

8. Shake off Excess Water: Carefully shake your glasses to remove excess water from the frames and lenses, but avoid touching them with any cloth at this point – doing so may leave smudges on the wet lenses.

9. Dry Lenses Thoroughly: Using a clean microfiber cloth, gently pat the lenses dry without applying excessive pressure or rubbing too hard.

10. Inspect and Finish: After drying, inspect your glasses to ensure they’re free of smudges, fingerprints, and dirt. If needed, give them a final wipe with the microfiber cloth.

By following these 10 steps, you can easily clean your plastic eyeglasses without causing damage and maintain clear vision for everyday use. Regular cleaning will extend the life of your glasses and reduce the chances of bacteria buildup or eye infections.
