3 Ways to Make Hand and Foot Cream

Introduction:

Taking care of our hands and feet is essential to maintaining overall skin health. They are often exposed to harsh elements, leaving them dry, cracked or even painful. Homemade hand and foot creams can provide a natural and cost-effective solution for nourishing your skin. Here, we explore three simple ways to make your own hand and foot cream using ingredients you may already have at home.

1. DIY Rich Cocoa Butter Cream:

Ingredients:

– ¼ cup cocoa butter

– 2 tablespoons coconut oil

– 2 tablespoons almond oil

– 10 drops essential oil of your choice (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a double boiler, combine the cocoa butter with the coconut oil and melt them over low heat.

2. Once melted, remove from heat and allow the mixture to slightly cool.

3. Add almond oil and the essential oils, if desired.

4. Whisk they are well combined.

5. Pour the mixture into a jar or container and allow it to cool completely.

6. Apply generously on hands and feet as needed.

2. Avocado-Shea Butter Restoration Cream:

Ingredients:

– ¼ cup shea butter

– 2 tablespoons avocado oil

– 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

– 10 drops lavender essential oil (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a double boiler, combine shea butter with avocado oil and heat until melted.

2. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.

3. Stir in the grapeseed oil and lavender essential oil if using.

4. Mix well then pour into a jar or container and let it completely cool.

5. Apply generously on hands and feet as needed.

3. Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Cream:

Ingredients:

– ½ cup aloe vera gel

– ¼ cup jojoba oil

– 1 tablespoon beeswax

– 10 drops tea tree essential oil (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a double boiler, combine jojoba oil and beeswax and heat until the wax is completely melted.

2. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.

3. Gradually add the aloe vera gel into the mixture, stirring constantly until smooth.

4. Stir in tea tree essential oil if using.

5. Pour this creamy mixture into a jar or container and let it completely cool.

6. Apply generously on hands and feet as needed.
