Intro:

In today’s fast-paced world, smartphone users are continuously looking for ways to save time and increase productivity. One such feature on iPhones is the Autofill option, which automatically populates your contact information, addresses, passwords, and more when filling out online forms or logging into apps. Although extremely useful, there are times when you may want to change your Autofill settings or customize the data being stored. Here are three ways to change Autofill options on your iPhone.

1. Adjusting Autofill for Safari

If Safari is your default browser, you’ll need to change your Autofill options from within the Safari settings. Follow these steps:

a) Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

b) Scroll down and tap “Safari.”

c) Tap “AutoFill.”

d) From here, you can toggle on or off various options like “Use Contact Info,” “Credit Cards,” and “Saved Passwords.”

e) To change or update your contact info or credit card details, tap through the relevant option and edit the information as needed.

2. Changing Password AutoFill settings

To manage your Password AutoFill settings outside of Safari:

a) Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

b) Scroll down and tap “Passwords.”

c) Tap “AutoFill Passwords” up top.

d) Toggle “AutoFill Passwords” on or off depending on your preference.

e) Select which password manager (e.g., iCloud Keychain or a third-party app like LastPass or

1Password) you’d like to use for autofilling passwords by checking its respective toggle button.

3. Managing contact information for Autofill

If you wish to update or add new contact information for use with Autofill, follow these steps:

a) Open the Contacts app on your iPhone.

b) Locate and tap on the contact card that is linked to your Apple ID or create a new contact card with the relevant details.

c) Tap “Edit” in the top right corner.

d) Update or add any missing information, such as addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

e) Tap “Done” to save the changes.

Conclusion:

Changing Autofill options on an iPhone is an easy process that can help you maintain control over your personal information and provide a more seamless browsing experience. By adjusting your Safari settings, managing your password AutoFill options, and updating your contact information, you can enhance privacy and security while enjoying the benefits of this time-saving feature.
