Introduction:

Personalizing your smartphone’s home screen is a great way to express your creativity and make it feel uniquely yours. One way to do this is by changing the app icons on your device. In this article, we’ll discuss four different methods for changing app icons on both Android and iOS devices.

1. Using a Custom Launcher (Android):

A custom launcher is an app that replaces the default home screen and app drawer on your Android device. Many of these launchers come with built-in icon customization options. Popular options include Nova Launcher, Smart Launcher, and Action Launcher. To use a custom launcher:

a) Download and install one from the Google Play Store.

b) Open the launcher’s settings and explore the available customization options.

c) Browse through the icon packs or themes available within the launcher’s settings or download additional ones from the Google Play Store.

d) Apply your chosen icon pack or theme to see the changes.

2. Using an Icon Pack (Android):

Icon packs are collections of custom icons designed to work with specific launchers and devices. They can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store. To use an icon pack:

a) Find an icon pack that you like in the Google Play Store and install it.

b) Open your launcher’s settings and look for an option to change icons, usually under “Customization” or “Appearance.”

c) Select your downloaded icon pack from the list and apply it.

3. Using Shortcuts App (iOS):

The Shortcuts app for iOS allows you to create custom shortcuts with customized app icons. This method requires more manual effort but provides greater flexibility in personalizing each app icon individually. To change app icons with Shortcuts:

a) Download the Shortcuts app from the Apple App Store if you don’t already have it.

b) Open the app and tap the “+” button to create a new shortcut.

c) Search for “Open App” action and add it to the shortcut.

d) Select the app you want to change the icon for.

e) Tap the three-dot menu and then tap “Add to Home Screen.”

f) Customize the name and icon by tapping on the image, choose a custom image or photo for the app icon from your gallery.

g) Tap “Add” and then find your new custom app icon on your home screen.

4. Using a Third-Party App (iOS):

Several third-party apps can help you customize app icons on iOS devices. These apps provide a library of pre-made icons and can be accessed through the Apple App Store. Some popular
