Introduction

Nasal snuff, also known as smokeless tobacco, has been used by people around the world for centuries. Snuff is made from finely ground, cured tobacco leaves and is typically inhaled through the nose. The use of snuff is considered less harmful than smoking due to the absence of combustion and inhalation of harmful smoke.

Here are three ways to enjoy nasal snuff for those new to this activity.

1. Traditional – The Pinch Method

This method is known as the most common way of using nasal snuff. It involves pinching a small amount of snuff between your thumb and forefinger, then inhaling it gently through your nostrils.

Step 1: Choose your favorite snuff and open the container.

Step 2: Place your forefinger and thumb into the snuff and scoop up a small amount.

Step 3: Gently rub your fingers together to distribute the snuff evenly between them.

Step 4: Hold your fingers about an inch below your nostrils and inhale gently.

Remember to start with small amounts of snuff until you become familiar with this method and adjust accordingly.

2. Modern – The Snuff Bullet

A popular modern method of consuming nasal snuff is through a device called a snuff bullet. This container is designed to hold a measured amount of snuff and deliver it directly to your nose in controlled doses.

Step 1: Unscrew the bottom chamber of the bullet and fill with your preferred snuff.

Step 2: Screw on the bottom chamber and shake the bullet to distribute the snuff evenly.

Step 3: Hold the bullet upside down with the nozzle pointing toward your nose.

Step 4: Inhale gently while rotating the bullet back upright to ensure even distribution in your nostrils.

This method is perfect for those on-the-go or for those who prefer a more discreet and controlled method of enjoying snuff.

3. The Spoon or Spatula Method

Some users prefer the spoon or spatula method, which involves using a small tool to scoop snuff for inhalation.

Step 1: Obtain a small, clean spoon or spatula, such as a snuff-specific tool or even an earwax removal spoon.

Step 2: Scoop a small amount of snuff onto the surface of the tool.

Step 3: Hold the tool about an inch below your nostrils and inhale gently.

Step 4: Once you’ve finished enjoying your snuff, remember to clean your tool between uses to maintain hygiene.

Conclusion

There are multiple ways to enjoy nasal snuff, offering flexibility and personal preferences in its administration. The traditional pinch method, modern snuff bullet, and spoon or spatula method vary in their level of control and discretion. Each has its unique appeal depending on one’s lifestyle and comfortability. Explore these methods to find your preferred way of indulging in this centuries-old practice while following safety practices such as maintaining moderation and cleanliness.
