A delicious and succulent pork roast is a perfect centerpiece for family dinners or special occasions. Using a Crock Pot, or slow cooker, not only makes the cooking process hassle-free but also enhances the roast’s flavor by allowing it to cook in its own juices. This article will explore three different ways to make a mouthwatering pork roast using a Crock Pot.

1. Classic Pork Roast with Vegetables

Ingredients:

– 3-4 lb pork roast

– 1 lb baby carrots

– 1 lb baby potatoes

– 1 large onion, sliced

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions:

Begin by seasoning the pork roast with salt and pepper on all sides. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until golden brown. Combine the vegetables, garlic, and chicken broth in the slow cooker. Place the seared roast on top of the vegetables. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.

2. Sweet and Tangy Barbeque Pork Roast

Ingredients:

– 3-4 lb pork roast

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 cup barbeque sauce (your choice)

– 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

First, season the pork roast with salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix together your favorite barbeque sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Pour half of the sauce mixture into your slow cooker and place the seasoned pork roast on top. Cover the roast with the remaining sauce, and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.

3. Savory Garlic and Herb Pork Roast

Ingredients:

– 3-4 lb pork roast

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 6 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1/2 cup white wine

– 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions:

Season the pork roast with salt and pepper on all sides. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and thyme leaves. Rub this mixture all over the pork roast. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until golden brown. Place it into your slow-cooker. Carefully pour white wine and chicken broth around the roast. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.

Now that you have three different ways to make a delicious pork roast in a Crock Pot, you can select one based on your preferred flavors and enjoy a delicious meal with minimal effort.
