In recent times, Wordle has taken the internet by storm, becoming a popular online word game where players attempt to guess a five-letter word within six tries. An interesting aspect of this game is calculating your Wordle average: the average number of attempts it takes you to successfully guess the target word. In this article, we will explain step-by-step how to calculate your Wordle average.

Step 1: Track your attempts

The first thing you need to do is keep a record of the number of attempts for each game you play. You can write this down in a notebook, create a spreadsheet, or use any other method that works best for you.

Step 2: Count the total number of games played

When it’s time to calculate your Wordle average, you must determine the total number of games you’ve played. Ensure that all games are accounted for, even those where you didn’t manage to guess the target word.

Step 3: Sum up all your attempts

Next, add up the total number of attempts it took you across all games played. For example, if you guessed the target word in three attempts in your first game and five attempts in your second game, the total number of attempts would be eight.

Step 4: Divide the total attempts by the total number of games

To find your Wordle average, divide the sum of your attempts (from Step 3) by the total number of games played (from Step 2). Using our earlier example:

Wordle average = Total Attempts / Total Games

Wordle average = 8 / 2

Wordle average = 4

In this case, it means that on average, it takes four attempts to successfully guess the target word in Wordle.

Step 5: Update and monitor your progress

As you continue playing and improving in Wordle, it’s important to update your average calculation regularly. This will help you track your progress, identify areas where you may need to improve, and potentially even see patterns that help enhance your Wordle skills.

In conclusion, calculating your Wordle average is a straightforward process that requires tracking the number of attempts it takes to guess the target word for each game you play. By regularly monitoring and updating this average, you can keep track of your progress and strive to become an even better Wordle player.
