2024 Mazda 3 Pricing Increases Slightly After Ditching One Trim

The 2024 Mazda 3 will see a slight price increase as the automaker eliminates one trim level option from its lineup. The refreshed model continues to offer impressive comfort and performance for compact car enthusiasts, but potential buyers should be prepared to pay a little more for their preferred model due to the new pricing strategy.

Mazda recently announced that they will discontinue the Select trim for the 2024 Mazda 3, leading to fewer options for potential buyers. Despite the removal of a popular trim level, Mazda is confident that the remaining choices adequately cater to customers’ desires. The remaining trim levels – Base, Preferred, and Premium – will offer something for every buyer.

The price of the base model has increased slightly by $450, bringing its starting price to $20,950. While this may seem like a small adjustment, it is an indication that Mazda is focusing on offering higher-end features on their most affordable models.

Similarly, the Preferred and Premium trims have also seen modest increases in their prices. The 2024 Mazda 3 Preferred now starts at $23,250 – a $400 increase over the previous year’s model. The high-end Premium trim experienced its most significant change in pricing with a $650 bump, resulting in a starting price of $26,750.

Despite these adjustments in pricing, Mazda’s promise of excellent craftsmanship and performance remains uncompromised. All 2024 Mazda 3 models are equipped with standard features such as LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an 8.8-inch infotainment display, and advanced safety features like forward collision warning systems.

Under the hood, every 2024 Mazda 3 will come standard with a Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 155 horsepower and mates with either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. Optional powertrains include a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower and an available turbocharged engine offering 227 to 250 horsepower, depending on the type of fuel used.

Aside from the unexpected price increase, the Mazda 3 remains a top choice in the compact car segment. With its sleek design, potent performance abilities, and advanced safety tech features available across all trim levels, the slight price increase is likely not to deter potential buyers.

Overall, the 2024 Mazda 3 lineup continues to present a strong offering in its class. Customers willing to pay a little extra will enjoy higher-end features and performance capabilities that still rival competitors in the market.
