The 2024 Kia Seltos enters the market as a compact SUV loaded with more power and advanced technology than its predecessor. As consumers seek better driving experience and improved features, the question remains: is the new Seltos any better than before?

Under the Hood: Power Upgrade

The 2024 Kia Seltos comes equipped with two engine options. The base model houses a 2.0L four-cylinder MPI engine that churns out 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. However, the major upgrade lies in the higher trims with a 1.6L Turbo GDI engine, generating an impressive 195 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. This boost in power gives it an edge over its previous version, promising quicker acceleration and a more enjoyable drive.

Advanced Tech Features

The latest Seltos now offers an array of advanced technological features to enhance the overall experience for both drivers and passengers. The infotainment system boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, offering compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as built-in navigation for seamless connectivity on-the-go.

Safety tech improvements include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Departure Warning system, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist-Rear, Safe Exit Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. These driver-assistive systems elevate both safety and driver confidence.

Spacious and Comfortable Cabin

The cabin experience has been upgraded in the 2024 Seltos to accommodate passengers of various heights comfortably. With ample legroom at both front and rear seats, upholstery choices include woven cloth or SOFINO seat trim. The available panoramic sunroof adds to the sense of spaciousness for a more relaxing journey.

But Is It Any Better?

Considering the boost in power, advanced safety features, upgraded infotainment system, and ergonomic cabin design, the 2024 Kia Seltos is a significant improvement over its predecessor. While it may still find competition among its segment rivals, the latest Seltos offers an enhanced driving experience that’s worth considering for those seeking a versatile and tech-savvy compact SUV.
