There’s nothing more frustrating than losing your favorite songs on your iPhone or iPad. However, accidents happen, and sometimes you might inadvertently delete a song or encounter an issue that leads to the loss of your music library. Fortunately, there are several ways to restore songs on your device. In this article, we’ll explore different methods to retrieve and restore lost music on your iPhone or iPad.

Method 1: Use iTunes

If you have previously sync your music with iTunes, follow these steps:

1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cable.

2. Open iTunes and select the device icon in the top-left corner.

3. Choose “Music” from the sidebar.

4. Check the “Sync Music” box and select the playlists, artists, or albums you want to restore.

5. Click “Apply” to initiate the sync process.

iTunes will now transfer the missing songs back onto your iPhone or iPad.

Method 2: Redownload from Apple Music/iTunes Store

If you’ve purchased songs on Apple Music/iTunes Store, you can easily redownload them:

1. Launch the “Music” app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Tap on the “Library” tab, and then tap “Downloaded Music.”

3. Scroll down to find missing songs (typically marked with a cloud icon).

4. Tap the cloud icon beside each song you want to restore.

The selected songs will download back onto your device.

Method 3: Retrieve from iCloud backup

If you have backed up your device using iCloud, try restoring from an iCloud backup:

1. First, make sure you have a recent backup of all data.

2. Navigate to “Settings” > “General” > “Reset” and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”

3. Set up your iPhone or iPad as a new device.

4. On the “Apps & Data” screen, choose “Restore from iCloud Backup.”

5. Log in with your Apple ID and select the right backup.

This process will restore all data, including any lost music, back to your device.

Method 4: Use a Third-Party Recovery Tool

Several third-party tools can help recover lost music on your iPhone or iPad:

1. Choose a reliable recovery tool such as Dr.Fone or EaseUS MobiSaver.

2. Install the software on your computer and connect your device using a USB cable.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan and preview lost music files.

4. Select the songs you want to restore and perform the recovery process.

Conclusion

Restoring songs on your iPhone or iPad is not as challenging as it might seem. By following these methods, you can quickly retrieve lost music files and get back to enjoying your favorite tunes. Remember to back up your data regularly to prevent future losses and ensure all your precious memories remain safe.
