The Xbox One has been on the market for several years now, and Xbox fans have eagerly awaited the release of the Xbox Series X. With the new console now available, many gamers are wondering if it’s worth upgrading. In this article, we’ll compare the Xbox One vs. Xbox Series X and help you decide if it makes sense to invest in the latest console.

Performance

The most significant difference between the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X is performance. The Xbox Series X is much more powerful than its predecessor, with faster load times, increased storage capacity, and the ability to run games at higher resolutions and frame rates. The new console also boasts a custom 8-core Zen 2 CPU and a custom RDNA 2-class GPU, delivering up to 12 teraflops of processing power.

In comparison, the Xbox One has a custom 8-core Jaguar CPU and an AMD Radeon GPU delivering 1.31 teraflops of processing power. While the Xbox One can handle most games, it struggles with more demanding titles, and you may experience slow load times, choppy frame rates, and reduced graphics quality.

Features

Another significant difference between the Xbox One vs. Xbox Series X is the features that come with each console. The Xbox Series X comes with a range of new features that improve the gaming experience, including Quick Resume, which lets you switch between games almost instantly. The new console also boasts Smart Delivery, which means that you’ll only need to buy a game once, and it’ll work on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X without the need to purchase separate versions.

In comparison, the Xbox One is a relatively straightforward console with fewer features. While it’s perfectly fine for gaming, it lacks some of the advanced features of the Xbox Series X.

Price

The final factor to consider when comparing the Xbox One vs. Xbox Series X is the price. The Xbox Series X is a brand new console, so it does come with a higher price tag. At the time of writing, the Xbox Series X costs $499, while the Xbox One S starts at $299. However, the higher price of the Xbox Series X is offset by its advanced features and improved performance
