Do you often forget to wish your loved ones on their birthdays or anniversaries? Or have you ever needed to send a reminder message to someone at a specific time but ended up forgetting to send it? Worry no more! By using the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, you can now send scheduled text messages for free!

Shortcuts is a powerful app that allows you to automate complex tasks by creating workflows. One of the many useful shortcuts you can create is a scheduled text message. With this shortcut, you can compose a message, set the time and date you want it to be sent, and then forget about it.

To create a shortcut for scheduled text messages, first, you need to download the Shortcuts app from the App Store. Once installed, open the app, select the “+” icon, and click on “Create Shortcut.” Then, select “Add Action,” and type in “Send Message” in the search bar. Choose the “Send Message” action and enter the desired message you want to send.

To schedule the message, select “Add Action” again, type in “Wait,” and choose the “Wait” action. Set the time you want the message to be sent, and select “Add Action” again. This time, type in “Send Message” once again and choose the “Send Message” action.

Once you have completed the actions, save the shortcut by tapping on “Done” in the top right corner of your screen. Now, whenever you want to schedule a text message, simply open the Shortcuts app, select the scheduled text message shortcut you created, compose the message, and set the date and time you want the message to be sent. The shortcut will do the rest for you!

In conclusion, by using the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, you can now send scheduled text messages for free. The app is straightforward to use, and the workflow creation process is quick and easy. With this feature, you will never forget to send a message to your loved ones or remind someone of an important event. Give it a try and see your productivity improve.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
