Introduction:

Electronic Mail (EML) files are widely used to store and share email messages. Often, these files need to be accessed or opened for various reasons, such as viewing content or extracting attachments. In this article, we will discuss four methods to open EML files by using different software and online tools.

1. Using Microsoft Outlook:

Microsoft Outlook is one of the most popular email clients which allows users to open EML files directly. Here’s how:

Step 1: Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer.

Step 2: Click on the “File” tab and choose “Open & Export.”

Step 3: Click on “Open Outlook Data File.”

Step 4: Browse to the location of your EML file, select it, and click on “Open.”

2. Using Windows Live Mail:

Another method to open EML files is using Windows Live Mail, a free email client from Microsoft.

Step 1: Download and install Windows Live Mail on your computer.

Step 2: Launch the application and go to “File” > “Open” > “Message…”

Step 3: Browse to the location of your EML file, select it, and click on “Open.”

3. Online Services:

If you do not want to download any additional software to view an EML file, you can use online services like Encryptomatic Viewer or eml.onlineviewer.org.
For Encryptomatic Viewer:

Step 1: Visit encryptomatic.com/emlviewer

Step 2: Click the ‘Select File’ button and upload your EML file.

Step 3: The contents of your EML file will be loaded and displayed within seconds.

For eml.onlineviewer.org:

Step 1: Visit eml.onlineviewer.org

Step 2: Upload the EML file by clicking ‘Browse’ or dragging it onto the page.

Step 3: The EML file will be opened, and its contents will be displayed on the screen.

4. Using Third-Party Software:

In addition to the methods listed above, there are many third-party software options available online that can open EML files. Some popular choices include Thunderbird, eM Client, and Mail Viewer.

To use these applications, simply download and install the software, then follow their instructions for opening an EML file.

Conclusion:

Opening EML files is easy with the right tools. Whether you prefer using built-in email clients like Microsoft Outlook or Windows Live Mail, online services like Encryptomatic Viewer or eml.onlineviewer.org, or even third-party applications such as Thunderbird or eM Client, there are plenty of options available to help you access the information stored within your EML files.
