3 Ways to Apply Eyelash Extensions

When it comes to enhancing your eyes, adding length and volume to your natural lashes is a surefire way to make them stand out. Eyelash extensions are the perfect solution for those looking to upgrade their lash game, and there are several methods for applying them. In this article, we explore three popular ways to apply eyelash extensions – the classic method, the volume method, and the hybrid method.

1. Classic Method

The classic method is an excellent choice for those who are new to eyelash extensions or prefer a natural look. This technique involves applying one extension to each individual natural lash. The thickness of the extension varies depending on your desired outcome, with thinner extensions aimed at creating a subtle enhancement and thicker ones for a more striking appearance.

To apply classic eyelash extensions, your lash artist will isolate one natural lash at a time using tweezers before carefully attaching the extension with adhesive. This process is repeated until all of your lashes have been extended. Classic eyelash extensions typically last between two to four weeks before they require a fill.

2. Volume Method

If you’re looking for a more dramatic and full look, the volume method may be exactly what you need. This technique involves attaching multiple extensions – anywhere from two to six – onto each individual natural lash. These “fans” of extensions create an ultra-voluminous appearance while still being lightweight and comfortable on the eye.

Applying volume lashes entails creating a custom fan for each natural lash by carefully picking up multiple extensions using curved tweezers. The fan is then dipped into adhesive and applied directly onto your natural lashes. Like classic extensions, volume lashes also need regular maintenance and fills every two to four weeks.

3. Hybrid Method

For those who can’t decide between classic and volume, the hybrid method offers the best of both worlds! As its name suggests, this technique combines both single classic extensions and volume fans, resulting in a gorgeous, fuller look that still maintains a sense of naturalness.

During the hybrid application process, your lash artist alternates between attaching single extensions and handmade volume fans to your natural lashes. The overall effect creates a beautifully textured appearance that can be customized to suit your personal preference – go for more classic lashes with just a touch of volume or amp it up with an equal mix of both techniques. Just like the other methods, hybrid eyelash extensions require regular maintenance and fills every two to four weeks.

In conclusion, choosing the right eyelash extension method largely depends on your desired outcome and personal preferences. Consider factors such as the texture, fullness, and naturalness you want, and consult with a professional lash artist to determine which method is best suited for you. With proper care and maintenance, eyelash extensions are a fantastic way to elevate your look and accentuate your eyes.
