Product Review of Zapzapmath

Zapzapmath includes a suite of games for learners in K-6 to complement a classroom mathematics curriculum. All games are tied to specific Common Core State Standards and encourage learners to move beyond simply memorizing facts or formulas to thinking critically and analyzing math concepts. Teachers and parents are able to track learner progress and learning outcomes from any device by accessing the learning analytics dashboard. All Zapzapmath games apply adaptive learning to ensure that learners are appropriately challenged at their current mathematics level. To help them understand their learning, learners are asked to take a pre- and post-assessment and reflect on their scores.

What Users Love About the App
“Loved it. All three of my kids loved this game. We are always on the hunt for new educational games for the boys and more often than not they get tired of them quickly. I was able to review this game for a fair and honest review.”
“Engaging educational app. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect educational app for my tech savvy 8yr old. We’ve tried plenty and hes always gotten bored. When I had the opportunity to try out zapzapmath, I was so excited to see how he’d enjoy it. As soon as we downloaded it, he was HOOKED on it for hours.”
“One of the best apps. Nowadays, it really hard not to incorporate technology and gadget in our children life. I chose to let my kids enjoy gadget as long as it will help them to learn and thrive. This apps helps my kids to learn math!”
“My girls love it! My girls love to play to grow their points to buy items for their Spaceship. They can’t wait til it’s their turn again. There are several different games to play for each grade to help bust your child’s knowledge & math skills.”
“I have been looking for a good math game app for my nieces and nephews to use over the summer. I love that the app includes games for grades K – 6 so the kids can keep what they’ve learned this school year fresh and start working on next years skills.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“I didn’t know we were going to be charged $40 for a year. When it suddenly appear in our charges I accepted it and he continued using the app to watch the videos and play a little. Then yesterday we tried to get on again and it said “Thank you for buying the premium subscription” or something like that and said it was downloading the premium games. Ok, sounded good. Then it just stayed on that screen and didn’t do anything. Please fix this or refund my money and we will try a different app.”
“Play one time and then get bored I like when I play first time but another time I don’t like I get bored a good point that we have different languages who is learning Chinese language can like it.”
“Installed this app for my 8 year old. Had trouble loading the app after some days. I uninstalled the app and wrote back to the author to unsubscribe me (he replied back that he has done it). But even after 6 months I’m still being charged for the app that we are not using. No replies for further emails to the author.”
“Good, but hesitant to pay for the additional content. I was trying it out to see if it was something that I would like my kid to play. I dont like that when you get the wrong answer, it doesn’t explain why the right answer is the right answer. Example, it was asking if the triangle pictured was an equilateral triangle. If you got it wrong, it just said it was wrong. Didn’t explain what an equilateral triangle is.”
“It’s just like everyone says. Broken and unrepaired. No matter what age you select, you’ll never get past an error message requesting for age.”
