Product Review of Trello

Trello helps you collaborate on projects from beginning to end. It uses boards, lists, and cards to keep you organized. Cards can be filled with comments, attachments, due dates, and more. Trello can integrate with the apps already being used by your school, such as Calendar, Slack, and Google Drive. This app can be used by educator teams, administration, or learners—anyone that has a project can benefit from organizing it through Trello.

What Users Love About the App
“I love how easy it is to create a new card and follow the progression as it goes from our Customer Success team to our Dev team and progresses from the backlog to being completed. It makes it really easy for us to collaborate across different team members and follow up with our users when bugs are fixed or new features are released.”
“Trello is an online project and task organization tool based on the Kanban method with lists and colorful cards that works perfectly for any need offering flexible features that adapt to our user needs, I really like it because it offers more than usual we need.”
“I love how I can work on projects and share them with the workplace from home with ease. The awesome Trello let you share your projects and other info by placing cards showing what you are working on. The best part is that you do not have to spend much time doing so.”
“I love Trello. For someone like me who is a very visual person and has a hard time keeping track of projects in my head, it’s ideal. We have boards for various teams where we keep track of projects, manage tasks, and communicate across departments. I love that you only have to be on the cards that involve you, and it’s easy to add and remove people, keep watch on a card, create labels, checklists, etc.”
“The platform is simple and easy to understand, use and navigate. It is excellent how I can dump all my ideas down in one place and then rearrange them in order of tasks, priority, and availability. I use Trello to organize my work schedule, content creation, and client onboarding. I love the customization options for each board.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“A few very necessary features such as calendar, timeline views were absent, and while they’ve been introduced now by Atlassian, they aren’t present in the free tier. The android app is functional, although not UI wise perfect.”
“Sometimes, I feel like Trello can send too many emails. It would be great if they could combine more things into a single email versus sending several different emails for recent updates all at the same time. I have also found that sometimes the search feature can be difficult to use.”
“What I don’t like about Trello is the organization of the boards, since when a large amount of information is stored it tends to be a bit difficult to find what I need, another disadvantage is that its search does not always give me the results that I expect.”
“In this platform, there are no big problems. But I believe that occasionally there are no notifications. To become more intuitive and user friendly, the mobile version requires certain changes.”
“Sadly, but to use its full functionality, you have to purchase the full version. It does not have a charts option, no reporting, or any kind of analysis. Sometimes searching for a card can result in the wrong card.”
