Product Review of Tap Quiz Maps World Edition

Perfect for the geography or social studies classroom, TapQuiz Maps World Edition lets learners learn the countries of the world in a game show environment. Simply tap the correct answer for each country on the map and track your progress mastering country names through the statistics page. Regions included in this app: U.S. States, Canadian Provinces, Mexico, and Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia and Oceania. There are two modes: Tap and Type and Discovery Mode. In Tap and Type, learners are prompted to type in the name of the country, state, or province. In Discovery Mode, learners can tap a country, state, or province to briefly see the name. This mode is particularly useful when trying to learn a new region.

What Users Love About the App
“It works perfectly and provides a fun, easy way to learn or brush up on your geography. There are three modes of game type to choose from: Question and Answer, Tap and Type and Discovery.”
“Great value, simple and effective way to learn the countries of the world, no need to be connected to wifi to play or explore, individual states included when playing the U.S. maps.”
“Since getting this app, I haven’t gotten anything less than 100% in my class!! The best part was that the app is free! I never make in app purchases, but I’m actually going to upgrade. It’s just that good!”
“This app is great for all ages too! My 11 year-old brother is taking American History, which means he needs to know all of the states. I showed him this app, and now he can tell you where all of them are! “
“”TapQuiz Maps” is an app that allows users to test how well they know the countries in parts of the world. I love how this app has very simple direction on how to use the app. Also, this app is very useful to students who are trying to memorize countries, because the app gives a score on how well you label the correct country.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“It isn’t the most elegant or graphically appealing world map but it works. I’d love to see country flags included and some topographical features like mountain ranges. Would also be great to name oceans, seas, and capital cities.”
“The app only checks your accuracy finding location of states, countries, etc. In the Wester US, Alaska is not just west of Washington and Oregon. Hawaii is not just off the coast of CA.”
“For smaller countries sometimes when u tap it, it doesn’t register, maybe lines or arrows to click, that point directly to the smaller country for better distinction when choosing.”
“In next update, please add feature to see all countries by swiping across globe like the option which exists in Google Earth and National Geo World Atlas. So instead of having to pick a region of the globe (and only see the countries in that one region), one could see all countries by swiping.”
“This is a great app until you purchase the whole package. Save your money and just use the free part. I can’t use the “tap and type” feature (part of the pro package) without my phone freezing up. That’s annoying since that’s the main reason I bought the package.”
